Mission Statement:

City And Rural Rides is a rural public transit service operated by Central Texas Rural Transit District. Transportation is available to the general public in our service area. Anyone may schedule a ride to any location in our service area and to limited cities out of our area.

Days & Hours Open:

Rides may be scheduled by calling 1-800-710-2277, or 325-625-4491. Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. When you call, please have the following information available for our dispatchers:

  • Passenger name
  • address
  • phone number
  • destination name & address
  • expected arrival time

Programs Available:

Service Area: Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Fisher, Haskell, Jones, Kent, Knox, Mitchell, Nolan, Runnels, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, and Throckmorton Counties.

Description of Programs:

CARR can be used for various reasons including shopping, work, beauty shop visits, visiting family or friends, and doctor visits. CARR requires that trips be scheduled one business day in advance.

Our goal is to help individuals find low-cost health insurance. This coverage will help with major medical services such as doctor visits, x-rays, Hospital stays, and prescriptions. You can cancel at any time with no cost or obligation.

Our goal is to find you a zero-premium policy with no out of pocket monthly cost to you.

The program we offer is a government funded ACA insurance program with The Marketplace. The Marketplace offers carriers such as Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Baylor Scott & White, Ambetter, and many more.

Our mission is to provide help and hope to all who strive to overcome challenges associate with mental illness, alcohol and chemical dependency, intellectual and developmental disabilities within our community.

Programs Offered:

Pecan Valley centers is the Local Mental Health Authority for a six-county region (Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, and Somervell). We offer a variety of mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan to help them obtain and maintain their recovery. Services may include skills training, case management, peer services, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, counseling, and/or crisis intervention. We also offer outpatient substance use treatment for those 13 years of age and over.
