Description of Programs:

The County Indigent Health Care Program provides health care services to eligible residents through the counties, hospital districts and public hospitals in Texas. Counties that are not fully served by a hospital district or a public hospital are required to provide the following basic health care services to eligible residents:

  • Immunizations
  • Medical screening services
  • Annual physical examinations
  • Inpatient hospital services
  • Outpatient hospital services, including hospital-based ambulatory surgical center services
  • Rural health clinics
  • Laboratory and x-ray services
  • Family planning services
  • Physician services
  • Payment for not more than three prescription drugs per month
  • Skilled nursing facility services

FEES: Fees vary; call for information
ELIGIBILITY: Must meet four criteria: residency, resources, household composition and income; call for more details.

The mission of Manna is to provide temporary aide and assistance to those in need in the Parker County community.

Arrive by 1:30 inorder to complete paperwork and proof of residence (utility bill, rent receipt). An ID is required for each household member.

Clothing Assistance, Food Assistance, Prescription Assistance Utilities Assistance

Description of Programs:

Once residency is proven, we can provide food, clothing, and prescription and utility assistance. In an emergency we can provided household items and furniture as needed.

Description of Programs:

Public Transit Services lends itself to improving the quality of life for others by providing the residence of Palo Pinto, Parker and Jack Counties the freedom of mobility. This allows them the opportunity for employment and self-sufficiency, which might otherwise be impossible.

PTS offers many types of routes, but basiclly they offer "curb-to-curb" service to anywhere in the county.

At present, the fee is $2 for age 64 and younger, $1 for age 65 and older.For best results, they ask to be called the day before you need the ride, 940-328-1391.
